BONHEUR DU JOUR

Description

A fine 18th century Bonheur du Jour veneered in mahogany and edged throughout in satinwood, box-wood and ebony. The leather lined writing flap fold over the 2 small drawers which is supported by lopers.  The upper section with the stepped bookcase has a pair of cupboards, one of which is fitted with a collection of cedar-wood lined drawers.  The whole supported on 4 square tapering legs on brass castors and united by a single shelf.
